The heart of a thriving local community
The Trustees of the Woolpit Village Hall Charity would like to invite the community to its AGM on 27th March 2026 at 7pm.
At this meeting, the existing Trustees will resign, in accordance with the 1978 Governing Document, although some will seek re-election to continue the schedule of work that has been developed since the last AGM in October 2025.
It is hoped that there will be encouraging interest from the user groups of the hall and from other members of the community, to offer both representative trustees (from the user groups of the hall) and elected trustees (from within the community).
The Chair of Trustees will be explaining the progress that has been made, the Treasurer will provide an overview of the accounting position and what has been achieved financially.
There will then be a presentation from Julia Ewans to explain the proposed CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). This is a significant proposal and result in a new governing document. There will be time to ask questions, but the existing governing document and the proposed ACRE model that we would like to adopt are both attached for information ahead of the meeting.
The 2025/26 year end figures are also available for you to have the opportunity to look at before the AGM. These have been independently examined and confirmed to be correct. Minutes from the AGM held in October 2025 are also available
Should you have any issues that you wish to discuss ahead of the meeting, please do contact us at secretarywvh@gmail.com
We look forward to meeting you and sharing our achievements.
